This paper presents a scenario-based assessment of power-frequency electric and magnetic fields around a 150-kV overhead transmission line. The work is motivated by the need to evaluate electromagnetic exposure in transmission corridors not only as a compliance issue, but also as a design problem involving clearance, right-of-way use, and load growth. Five scenarios are analysed: baseline, increased clearance, compact geometry, heavy loading, and optimized corridor. Electric-field computation is formulated using image-charge and potential-coefficient concepts, whereas magnetic-field computation is based on phasor superposition of the fields produced by balanced three-phase conductors. The results show that increased clearance reduces the peak electric field from 0.827 to 0.541 kV/m, a reduction of 34.5% relative to the baseline. Compact geometry increases the peak electric field to 0.956 kV/m, 15.7% above the baseline. Heavy loading does not change the electric-field peak in the voltage-controlled model, but doubles the magnetic-field peak from 4.134 to 8.268 microtesla. The optimized corridor lowers the electric-field peak by 23.2%, but increases the magnetic-field peak by 16.1% because of the higher line current. All values remain below the public reference levels of 5 kV/m and 200 microtesla, but the data show that compliance alone is not a sufficient design conclusion. The paper contributes a structured, data-driven framework for distinguishing geometry-dominated electric-field behaviour from current-dominated magnetic-field behaviour in transmission-corridor assessment.
